Art for Charity

I have a passion for painting, but I also have a strong desire to help those who help others.  It is always hard to decide which charities to support, but those currently closest to my heart are the RNLI (as I used to sail and really appreciate the amazing courage that the crews show, for no financial gain), the RAF (due to my passion for aircraft over the years) and the Alzheimer’s Society (following a recent family loss, due to dementia).

All proceeds raised from the sale of the paintings on these Art for Charity pages will be donated to the relevant causes.  Please click on the images below to see the paintings or go to the menu at the top of this page.

I submitted this artwork for a Twitter charity @twitrartexhibit

to raise funds for Art in Healthcare @artinhealthcare.

I entitled it 'Time to Say Goodbye'

in memory of my dear mother-in-law.  Some of the comments I received about it are shown opposite.

"Wow!  The emotion this glorious artwork elicits is a little overwhelming.  Simply stunning".

"Very special."

"This is just so powerful".

"What a beautiful tribute".

GREAT NEWS!

My painting of the Penlee lifeboat, Solomon Browne,

raised £750 at auction on 30 November 2018.

Further update: The winner of the auction has kindly given their permission for a limited edition print run to be produced.  This will be arranged early in 2019.

I am always delighted when my artwork raises funds for

the wonderful RNLI voluntary organisation.

It is hard to believe, but this service is

provided by volunteers, saving lives at sea!

This brings the total raised by my artwork,

for the RNLI, so far, to over £1,500.

Another of my paintings will be auctioned

by Penlee RNLI in the New Year (2019).

All proceeds, as always, will go to the RNLI.

Further details to follow.
